The breach contained the comments, likes, reactions, account names and Facebook IDs of over 540
million users. Zucker the sucker settled with
the Federal Trade Commission over charges that he
didn't keep his privacy promise to users, by allowing private information to be made
public without warning. Facebook were also charged with sharing user information to advertisers,
despite promising they wouldn't. We then call facebook on this user to
instantiate a Koala client. We’ll use this
to see what television shows the current user likes.
Instead of reviewing a sample movie we’ll review one of the movies from our application. Once we’re
ready to go live we’ll need to submit our actions
for approval as otherwise they’ll only be available to
the developers and testers of our application. We can also run these
queries in our Rails application and we’ll demonstrate this in the console.
We’ll start, as ever, by adding the gem to our application’s gemfile and
then running bundle to install it.
